Portrait Special ~ Half Price Photo Sessions!

This March I am running a half price special on lifestyle, portrait and pet portrait sessions.
The half price offer applies to newborn sessions, family sessions, engagement sessions, and pet & equine portraits. Special offer ends 21st March 2010.
What is included?
Sessions include a one hour shoot on location*, 20 – 30 processed images in an online slideshow, €85 print or product credit and a disc of watermarked web resolution images for you to share online.
*Travel fee may apply.
How much does it cost?
Sessions are normally €200. This special offer includes all of the above for only €100!
When does the offer expire?
Sessions must be booked before the 21st March and may take place in March or April 2010.
Can I buy a gift voucher for this special offer?
Yes, of course. To avail of the special offer though the recipient’s session must be booked in before the 21st March and redeemed before the end of April 2010.

Product Review ~ DVD Disc of High Resolution Wedding Photos

Today I am posting a review of the most requested item in my wedding packages, the high resolution DVD. Understandably, most couples today prefer to have their own copy of edited photos from their wedding day on disc. Although many couples choose packages with albums or add an album on afterwards it is nice to have your own copy of the images to keep and not be tied into buying prints of your wedding day from your photographer.
Included in every Rubistyle wedding package, and available on the à la carte price list, is a DVD disc containing edited, colour corrected high resolution photos from your wedding. Also included on the disc will be resized, web resolution images ready for you to post on Facebook, email to friends and relatives or post anywhere online. The disc comes in a stylish, custom designed case featuring an image from your wedding and also includes a print release which allows you to make your own prints at any photo lab.
Product Review ~ Engagement Session Guest Book

The Rubistyle engagement session guest book is one of my most popular wedding products. Every couple who has had one of these books at their wedding has been so happy to have such a personal keepsake of their day and they are such a hit with the guests. So much so that I am now offering them in my Diamond and Ruby wedding photography packages. Included in all of my wedding packages is an on-location engagement session where I will take the photos I use in the guest book which I design myself. You can also add on the guest book to your package if you choose the Emerald or Sapphire package or make up your own package.

Product Review ~ Wedding Image Box

The Rubistyle Wedding Image Proof Box is the newest addition to my product line up. These are 5.25″ x7.5″ and 2.75″ deep. I design these with a custom photo cover, printed on lustre or metallic photographic paper with a matte laminate wrapped around the box with a customized cover, spine and back.
The image box will hold 250 5X7 photos with designer borders from your wedding day. These are a stunning alternative to an album. Image boxes are included in the Sapphire Wedding Package or available on the à la carte price list. Product Review ~ Spiral Bound Printed Proof Book

Owning one of these books with all of your images is a great way to have something tangible should you decide not to purchase an album. The Rubistyle wedding proof book is included in all wedding packages and is also available if you choose to make your own package from the à la carte price list. I know that it is hard to visualize a product or album when looking at a price list so I think these product reviews will help. I will bring samples of my albums and products along for you to see in person. This is the 10″x10″ leather flush mount wedding album. It is a 30 page storybook album and includes up to 100 images. There is a wide selection of leather colour cover options available. This album is included in the Diamond wedding package and available on the à la carte price list. Posted on February 7, 2010 This morning I headed down the road to Belvedere House Gardens & Park to take some photos just for fun. I wanted to try out my new lens; the Canon 24mm Tilt Shift 3.5L on some landscape type shots. It was a very gloomy day, but dry and I enjoyed walking around to all the follies. The creative blur in some of the shots is not done in post processing but is created by the lens in-camera. I look forward to using it for weddings and engagement sessions. Posted on January 6, 2010 A few weeks ago I was contacted by Hannah who wanted me to shoot some portraits for her website. Hannah is a church musician and classically trained singer from Mullingar. She specialises in weddings, Liturgical occasions and social events and you can find her website here. We agreed to head out for a shoot between the showers on Saturday and decided that Multyfarnham Friary and its grounds would make a perfect backdrop for some portraits. The rain held off and although it was very cold we were blessed with some striking snowy backdrops. Posted on December 31, 2009 The new year is almost upon us and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my clients for a wonderful 2009. I have shot some stunning weddings, met many lovely families, their babies and much loved pets. I am looking forward to doing it all again in 2010. I have put together a slideshow of some of my favourite images from 2009. I hope you like them as much as I do. I hope you all have a lovely and safe holiday season and can stay off the roads as much as possible. I LOVE Christmas Eve and spent it this year the same as I usually do, making mince pies and sipping cocktails. I am very fond of a Brandy Alexander on Christmas Eve. In a few days I will be launching back into wedding album design and I will have plenty of mince pies to keep me going!
