My Style

For as long as I can remember I have loved photographs. When visiting people, even as a child, I would ask to see their photo collections. Even if i did not know the people in question very well I was always entranced by their photos and enjoyed comparing their present day selves with their faded memories.

That love (I call it an obsession!) has never left me.

We are all being swept along with the digital age and it has never been easier to snap away and receive instant gratification. I believe we should not fall in to the trap of leaving our memories on a hard drive; they deserve to be printed, displayed and pulled out for visitors to admire.

I have a love for all things vintage and that doesn’t stop at my style of photography. Toned black and whites and muted colours are my specialty. If asked to describe my photographic style I would say it is timeless, yet modern. Faded, yet strong. Classic, never boring.

I shoot on location and prefer natural light as much as possible. I will not ask you to stand in front of a backdrop and say cheese.

Don’t be surprised if I pull out my polaroid camera at your session to capture you as I envision you in true retro style.
I love film and I miss the instant gratification that was polaroid and is now digital.
